We are currently seeking an experienced and customer-oriented Parts Advisor to join our team and contribute to our continued success.

The Parts Advisor plays a critical role in our dealership in ensuring that parts demanded by our customers are ordered, arranged and processed in a manner that is consistent with our daily operations. This position requires exceptional customer service skills, a solid knowledge of automotive parts, and selling abilities to increase Parts Department revenue and gross profit. The Parts Advisor will work closely with the Service Department, Technicians, and customers to ensure the efficient and timely fulfillment of parts orders, contributing to overall customer satisfaction and dealership profitability.

Responsibilities of this role include:

⦁ Source parts for the Service Department, and for technicians in a timely and efficient manner

⦁ Actively listen to customer requests, provide accurate product information, and suggest suitable parts and accessories based on their requirements.

⦁ Maintain excellent product knowledge as per Volkswagen Canada brand standards.

⦁ Assist the dealership in growing our wholesale parts business through 3rd party repair shops, body shops, and via our online store.

⦁ Identify, locate, and order parts as per customer requests, utilizing appropriate catalogues, computerized inventory systems, and manufacturer databases.

⦁ Ensure accurate pricing, quoting, and processing of parts orders, including generating invoices and collecting payments.

⦁ Monitor and maintain optimum levels of parts inventory, conducting regular stock checks, and placing timely orders to replenish stock when needed.

⦁ Organize and manage incoming shipments, ensuring timely receipt, inspection, and storage of parts.

⦁ Collaborate with Service Advisors, Technicians, and other dealership personnel to ensure accurate identification and sourcing of parts required for repairs and maintenance.

⦁ Pick up and deliver parts to and from suppliers and customers on a relief basis when Parts Delivery Driver is unavailable.

Requirements/Qualifications:

⦁ Prior experience (2+ years) working as an Automotive Parts Advisor is required

⦁ Valid B.C Class 5 Driver's License and clean driver’s abstract is required

⦁ High school diploma or equivalent; post-secondary education in automotive parts or related field is preferred.

⦁ Fluent command of written and spoken English is required. Fluency in a second language is preferred but not required

⦁ In-depth knowledge of automotive parts, including their identification, functions, and applications would be an asset

⦁ Strong customer service and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively communicate and build relationships with customers and colleagues.

This is a full-time position that requires availability inclusive of Saturdays. We offer a generous remuneration package along with benefits such as medical, dental, and an RSP-matching plan for eligible employees. The pay range advertised will consist of a base salary plus earned bonuses based on sales performance.

Pay: $50,000.00-$65,000.00 per year
