Volkswagen has big plans for Canada in 2024 and we require an outstanding candidate to acquaint our customers with our impressive product line of New and Certified Pre-Owned Volkswagen inventory. We are looking for an Automotive Sales Consultant to join our award-winning team.
This is a full-time commissioned sales role where you will be responsible for the following:
Market and Product Knowledge: Stay current with industry trends, new vehicle releases, and competitive offerings to provide expert advice to customers. Attend manufacturer training sessions to deepen understanding of product features and benefits.
Relationship Building: Establish and nurture long-term relationships with customers to foster loyalty and repeat business. Follow up with prospective customers via phone calls, emails, or other communication channels to address inquiries and build rapport.
Customer Engagement: Greet and welcome customers to the dealership with a friendly and professional demeanor. Listen attentively to customers' preferences, requirements, and budget constraints to identify suitable vehicle options. Provide detailed product information, highlighting features, benefits, and technical specifications to assist customers in making informed decisions.
Sales Process: Conduct thorough vehicle presentations and test drives to showcase the features and performance of various vehicles. Customize product presentations to align with each customer's specific needs and interests. Explain financing options, lease terms, warranties, and additional aftermarket products to customers. Negotiate pricing, trade-ins, and other transactional details while adhering to company policies and guidelines.
Sales Targets: Consistently achieve or exceed monthly and quarterly sales targets.
Proactively seek out potential customers through networking events, referrals, and online platforms. Participate in sales training programs to enhance product knowledge and sales skills.
The ideal candidate for this role will have the following qualifications/qualities:
- 2+ years experience working in a retail sales environment is required
- Fluent grasp of written and spoken English is required; fluency in a second language (Mandarin or Farsi) is highly preferred
- Proficient use of technology, social media, to communicate and promote product offerings
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment where multi-tasking, managing time efficiently and effectively are required
- Ability to follow processes and instructions within the Sales Department
This is a full-time commissioned-based sales position that offers a generous remuneration package consisting of a minimum guarantee, and bonuses based on achieving monthly and quarterly objectives.
